Ed Miliband wants Labour to become a One Nation party, a party rooted deeper in the lives of working people and their communities.
He’s asked Ray Collins (who is a member of the House of Lords and a trade unionist) to look at how Labour connects with people who are turning away from politics and how, at a time when other political parties are losing members, we can become bigger.
Ray Collins has written an interim report which includes some questions for members, members of affiliated organisations (such as unions) and supporters. You can read the report and let him know what you think here (by 24 December).
We’ll be discussing this at West Ham Constituency meeting on 28 November (please join us – all members are very welcome) and many of the branch meetings will be talking about it over the coming months too.
